Martha Pauline Abbott, 87, of Plainfield passed away October 22, 2012. She was born July 6, 1925 to the late Charlie and Mary (Brooks) Scott in Eubank, KY. She worked at Hooks Drug as a clerk for 12 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Plainfield Church of Christ. Pauline is survived by two sons, Donald (Barbara) and Ronald (Mary Anne) Abbott; two daughters, Phyllis J. (Howard) Smith and Linda K. (Greg) Acuff; a sister, Georgia Long; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester B. Abbott. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday, October 26, 2012 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday, October 25 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial, Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
