Ronald D. Bowen, 67, of Plainfield, passed away October 21, 2012. He was born August 16, 1945 to the late L.D. and Myrtle (Quintin) Bowen in Stratton, CO. He was a US Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church and was dedicated to lifelong service to missions. He worked for Ruan Transportation, Indianapolis as a truck driver for 30 years retiring in 2004. Ron is survived by two daughters, Christina Kelso and Stephanie (Josh) Nelson; three brothers, Maynard, Lloyd and Roy Bowen; and two sisters, Mary Reich and Martha Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Irene Bowen and three brothers, Aaron, Raymond and Joseph Bowen. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday, October 29, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial, Clayton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plainfield Christian Church Missions or Sheltering Wings.
