Herman A. Freeland, 81, of Danville, passed away October 24, 2012. He was born February 19, 1931 to the late William Russell and Goldie (Long) Freeland in Indianapolis, IN. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a service specialist for Citizes Gas for 36 years retiring in 1997. Herman is survived by his wife, Barbara N. (Dobbins) Freeland; daughter, Sharilyn Pfeiffer; three step-sons, Gary (Debbie) Haag, Frank (Eileen) Gaede, and David Wells; a step-daughter, Mary (Craig) Kavanaugh; a brother, Chester Freeland; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Freeland. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday October 27, 2012 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday, October 26 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial, K of P Cemetery, Lizton.
