Freda L. Welch

Freda L. Welch, 96, of Avon passed away February 18, 2012. She was born November 1, 1915 in Indianapolis to the late Fred and Lillie Surber. She was a homemaker and a LPN at St. Vincent Hospital from 1958-1966. Freda was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church where a Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 23, at 1:00 pm. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 22, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Welch. Survivors include sons, James K. (Peggy), Robert A. (Nellie) and Joseph D. (Linda) Welch; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
