Robert Lee Sims

Robert Lee Sims, 85, of Plainfield, passed away April 27, 2013. He was born July 2, 1927 to the late Frank O. and Estella (Wildman) Sims in Worthington, IN. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and a lifetime member of the NRA He received his BS degree at Indiana University. He retired as a geophysicist with Anadarko in 1986. Bob is survived by three nephews, Gordon (Margie), William (Donna Ree) and Randall (Linda) Sims; and six nieces, Sharon (Alan) Arthur, Becky (Pat) Jennings, Debora (Lane) McElhinney, Donna Jo Sims, Joyce (Joe) Foust, and Elaine (Bob) Lowe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (Craig) Sims. There will be no calling. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in the chapel at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
