Mervin E. Clark

Mervin E. Clark, 88, of Plainfield, passed away March 31, 2014.  He was born January 16, 1926 to the late Leland and Lola (Wright) Clark in Urbana, IL.  He was a US Navy veteran of WWII.  He worked at Allisons Div. of GM for 30 years retiring as supervisor in 1981.  He was  a member of the Plainfield Friends Meeting and the Plainfield Eagles.  Mervin is survived by a son, Hal Garland (Liz) Clark; three daughters, Sharon L. (Dean) Petree, Debbie D. (Gene) Combs, and Julie A. (Mike) Rugen; a sister, Patty Flanagan; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca (Lewman) Clark; two sisters, Betty Price, and Dorris Gilbert; and two brothers, Roger and Gene Clark.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday, April 4 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  Burial will be in Bainbridge Cemetery.
