Ronald Eugene Miley

Ronald Eugene Miley, 78, of Avon, IN passed away August 3, 2014 peacefully at home. He was born January 13, 1936 in Kirksville, MO to the late John Junior and Ada Isabelle Kephart Miley. Ron retired after 37 1/2 years of service as a manager of many airway facility sectors with the Federal Aviation Administration. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, member of Bridgeport F&AM # 162, Indianapolis Murat Shrine and a lifetime and honorary member of Alsafar Shrine in San Antonio, TX. Funeral services will be Thursday, August, 7, at 2:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 1:00 pm until service time. Burial will be Friday, August 8, at 1:00 pm (central time) in Mulberry Cemetery, Kirksville, MO. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry John Miley, brothers, Gary Lynn and Johnny Jay Miley and step-son, Mark Spencer. He was a devoted husband and loving father and is survived by his wife, Ann Spencer Miley; children, Larry E. (Connie), Gregory L, Lisa Berg-Porter (Bruce), Bruce A. and Christopher J. Miley; step children, Greg Spencer (Debbie), Stephanie Koons (Jay), sister, Dorothy Troester; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
