Melba S. Hanlon

Melba S. Hanlon, 94, of Plainfield, passed away November 18, 2014. She was born June 23, 1920 in Fillmore, IN to the late Thomas and Ruth Irene Shuck. Melba retired from Lincoln Federal Bank in 1995 after 33 years as a secretary and treasurer. She was a member of Plainfield Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Benjamin Hanlon; two sisters, Dorothy Veach, and Evelyn Spencer and a brother, Phillip Shuck. Funeral services will be Friday, November 21, at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Friday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include children, Tom (Judy) Hanlon and Libby (Timm) Buche; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association.
