William Lea Smith

William Lea Smith, 71, of Plainfield, passed away at I.U. Health West. He was born in Jamestown, TN. August 1, 1943 to the late Robert and Beulah (Stilts) Smith. William was an United States Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He worked for Howard W. Sam's for 33 years. William was a hand radio enthusiast. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Ann Smith; daughter, Patti (Andrew) Brewer; sons, Leandrew, Joseph and Casey Smith; sister, Joanna Hoover; step-sister, Carolyn Goforth; grandchildren, 6; great grandchildren, 5. There will be no calling or services. Inurnment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
