J. Loretta Walland, 75, of Avon, passed away February 27, 2017. She was born September 16, 1941 to the late Lloyd E. and Ollie Mae (Freeman) Bible in Rodgersville, TN. She was a member of the Crossroads Church in Avon. She worked over 20 years in accounts receivable for Hobbs Nursery retiring in 2006. Loretta is survived by a son, Joseph J. (Jodi) Walland; a daughter, Lori J. (Julian) Gordon; a brother, Lloyd A. (Diana) Bible; and 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Joshua, and Jeremy Walland. Memorial services will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 5, 2017 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 pm until service time at 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Sheltering Wings Haven, or Misty Eyes Animal Shelter.
