Charles D. Haggard

Charles Haggard, 81, Plainfield, passed away Sept. 5. He was born Dec. 7, 1927 to the late James and Marie Haggard in Franklin, IN. He was a forman at Hobbs Nursery retiring after 50 years. He also was a Country & Western Gospel singer. He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Tidwell and Judy (Keith) Echols; a brother, Marvin (Sue) Haggard; three sisters, Ann Braun, Opal (James) Garrett, and Dorothy (Dennis) Dodson; 5 grandchildren, Chris (Janna) Tidwell, Susan Tidwell, Zack & Dylan Farley, and Taylor Echols; and a great grandson, Jaken Lindsey. Funeral services will be at 6:00 pm Tuesday Sept. 8 at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 4:00 pm until service time at 6:00 pm on Tuesday. Private burial at K of P Cemetery, Lizton.
