Richard D. Ping

Richard D. Ping, 59, of Plainfield, passed away March 1, 2010. He was born February 27, 1951 to the late Estil and Clara (Farris) Ping in Somerset, KY. He was an electrical worker for IBEW for 20 years retiring in 2007. He was a member of the Cathedral Of Prayer Baptist Church. Richard is survived by his wife, Susan J. (Shirar) Ping; two daughters, Lisa (Phillip) Bailey, and Michelle (Ty) Fleehearty; three sisters, Lena Earl McKinney; Wilma Earl, and Geraldine Franklin Sterrett; 6 grandsons, Jason, Joe, Andrew, Nick and Grant Bailey and Colby Fleehearty; and a great granddaughter, Isabella Rose Bailey. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday March 3, 2010 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 3 to 8:00 pm Tuesday March 2. Burial, Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
