Roy L. Turley

Roy L. Turley, 66, of Plainfield, passed away October 30, 2010. He was born July 12, 1944 to the late Roy C. and Clarace (Reese) Turley in Linton, IN. He was a 1962 graduate of Jasonville High School. He worked in material control at Rolls-Royce for 40 years retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge 653, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, the Jewel Tea Collectors Club, past president of the Hendricks County Shrine Club, and active in his church's outreach Girl's School Ministry and Torch, and a JCI Senator. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainfield, 1012 Stafford Rd, where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday November 4, 2010, and where friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm. Roy is survived by his wife, Kathy J. (Weaver) Turley; a son, Mark Turley; a daughter, Cyndi (Tim) Blocher; a sister, Leanna Westfall; and his dog named "Shark". Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church.
