Alice "Betty" Dickey

Alice "Betty" Dickey, 95, of Plainfield, passed away surrounded by loving family members on March 6, 2020. She was born on April 26, 1924 in Crawfordsville, IN to the late Thomas and Sarah Long. Betty was a dedicated homemaker to her family. She was a charter member of the Plainfield Church Of Christ. Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, flowers, bluebirds, family pets and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett Dickey; brothers, Clancy, Hershel, Jack, Noble and Richard Long; sisters, Cecil Thweatt, Clarice Pickett and Audrey Long; granddaughter, Jamie Pasch; son in law, Duane Romens. Visitation will be Monday, March 9, 2020 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her sons, Robert (Charlotte), John (Linda), Alan (Therese), William, and Tim (Terri) Dickey; daughters, Carole Romens, Ann Salerno and Susan Pasch; sister, Ruth Ann Conger; sister in law, Margaret Long; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren.
