Arthur A. Schneider

Arthur Arnold Schneider, 89, passed away quietly on April 21, 2026 at Independence Village, Avon, Indiana.  He was born on May 22, 1936 in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Jean (Giuliano) Schneider.  Art attended Seton Hall University before joining the Army in 1959.  After his service, he took several courses in Lithography and became a press room supervisor.  He was employed by The Beckley Press and the Economics Press in Fairfield, NJ rising through the organization from the press room to President.  Art continued his military service as a member of the United States Coast Guard.  Upon retirement, Art moved to Lake Keowee, SC in 1997 with his wife, Arlene (Hoffman) enjoying warm winters, volunteer work and many, many rounds of golf.  He moved to Anderson, South Carolina in 2012 where he continued to enjoy golf and being the neighborhood handy man.  Art stayed there until his illness brought him to Indiana.  He is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Gary) Mohr of Corning, CA, Wendy (Jon) Pearl of Greencastle, IN and Laurie (Craig) Womeldorph of Colleyville, TX; grandchildren, Colin Ross, Travis, Jake and Erica Pearl and great grandson, Hudson Pearl.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene E., his son, First Lt. Arthur J. Schneider and grandson, Lucas R. Pearl.  There will be no calling or services.  Art will be buried at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton, NJ at his family plot alongside his wife, parents and son.
