Betty Lou Ross

Betty Lou (Soots) Ross, 91, of Plainfield, passed away on April 2, 2020. She was born in North Salem, IN on March 13, 1929 to the late Earl and Hazel (Kersey) Soots. Married James H. Ross also from North Salem. After James WWII service, they moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico. After more service in Korea, they settled in Clayton and later moved to Plainfield. Betty worked at the Clayton Telephone Company, Aero Blind & Drapery, RCA, and A-1 Compressor when she retired in 1991. She is survived by her son, Larry Joe (Barbara) Ross; grandsons, Michael (Susan) Ross, Steven (Jacqueline) Ross; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Abby Ross; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ross; sisters, Rosemary Masten, Violet Leak Williams and Pansy Marie Soots; brother, Ralph Eugene Soots. Graveside services will be private and a Celebration Of Life will be at a later date.
