Bobby Lee Mayes

Bobby Lee Mayes, 83, of Avon, passed away on October 18, 2018.  He was born on March 16, 1935 in Sumner County, TN to the late Russel and Nettie (White) Mayes.  Bobby was an United State Marine veteran.  He was an inspector at Chrysler for 28 plus years.  Bobby was a member of the UAW local #550.  He was a jack of all trades.  Bobby was a faithful loving man.  He loved his family, friends, country/christian music, playing the guitar, fishing, golfing, and watching football.  He was preceded in death by several brothers, sisters and a grandson.   Survivors include his loving wife, Nadean Mayes; sons, Rick (Kathy) Mayes, David (Jethonia) Mayes, Mark (Penni) Mayes and Jason (Allison) Blaschke; daughter, Sherry Mayes-Allen; sisters, Barbara Carrol and Vickie Groves; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.   A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 12:00 noon in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 am until service time at 12 noon.
