Bruce Rosemeyer, 90, of Greenwood, passed away July 10, 2021. He was born October 21, 1930 to the late Walter C. Rosemeyer and Delores (Thomas) Thornburgh in Indianapolis. He was a 1950 graduate of Brownsburg High School, where he played basketball, football and ran track. He was a US Marine Corps veteran. He worked over 35 years for Allisons Division of GM as a manufacturing engineer, retiring in 1986. He loved playing golf, bridge, and working in his yard.
Bruce is survived by 4 daughters, Teresa Bayse, Sandra (Jerry) Holmes, Debbie Rosemeyer, and Donna Padrick; two brothers, Bill (Kathy) Rosemeyer and Edward (Jan) Thornburgh; a sister, Nancy (Mike) Gillie; 5 grandchildren, James Bayse, Dane Wheeler, Kristy Slate, Brandon Slate and Mandi Clossey; and 3 great grandchildren, Brilynn, Ryason and Ava June Slate. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Rosemeyer and his step-father, Edward Thornburgh.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 16, 2021 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
