Carolyn B. Gruener

Carolyn B. "Aunt Sissy" Gruener, 91, of Avon, formerly of Monticello, passed away June 24, 2018.  She was born February 7, 1927 to the late William and Hazel (Yeager) Bauer in Logansport, IN.  She retired as an office manager for Shepherd Industries after many years there.  Carolyn was preceded in death by the love of her life Ed Gruener (whom she married on January 23, 1970).  She is survived by a step-daughter, Barb (Doug) Jacobs; two step-sons, Brett (Christa) Gruener and Kurt (D.B.) Gruener; and several step-grandchildren and great step-grandchildren.  Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Saturday from 12 noon until service time at 1:00 pm  Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church, 4396 E. Main St., Avon, IN 46123.
