Carolyn J. Williams

Carolyn J. Williams, age 81, of Plainfield, peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of December 31, 2025. She was born on December 4, 1944 in Center, Kentucky to the late Leslie Fancher and Arvetta (Roberts) Travis. Carolyn worked as a receptionist in her earlier years, later serving on the Sarasota County School Board. She had a deep admiration for animals and pets, was an avid reader and was a huge fan of actor Tom Selleck. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Williams; daughter, Penny Gerrard. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Survivors include her son, Quinten (Laura) Raines; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
