Catherine M. Bailey

Catherine M Bailey, 73, of Indianapolis passed away Sunday, December

24, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis on June 21st, 1950 to John E

Monaghan and Audrey R Monaghan. Catherine graduated from Chatard

High School in 1968. Catherine attended Ball State University, and

enjoyed a 30 + year career with Indiana Bell. Catherine enjoyed playing

bridge, traveling, (Las Vegas) and watching all of her great nephews and

nieces. Catherine was known as the Baby Whisperer among her family

and friends. If there was a gathering, and a baby was available, we all

knew Aunt Catherine would be holding and nurturing the baby.

Catherine was preceded in death by father John E Monaghan, mother

Audrey R Monaghan, three brothers, Patrick J Monaghan, Michael E

Monaghan, and Timothy J Monaghan. Survivors include Son Brian

Monaghan, sister Frances Monaghan Ryan (Jerry), and brother Stephen F

Monaghan (Stephanie), as well as 11 nieces and nephews, and 14 great

nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family ceremony on Friday December 29th.
