Charlene Ann Hurst

Charlene Ann Hurst, 90, of Plainfield, passed away on October 19, 2026. She was born on July 27, 1936 in Bridgeport, Indiana to the late Charles Sager and Lillian (Rice) Willoughby. Charlene worked as an accountant for USF&G Insurance for 20 years before retiring in 2001. She was a former member of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church. Charlene enjoyed going to the casino every now and then, played scratch off tickets and also loved to bake, cook, read and work crossword puzzles in her spare time. Above all, she loved spending time with her family the most. She is preceded in death by a son, Charles E. Hurst; brother, Fred Sager. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 12:00 noon until time of services. Burial will follow to Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her loving husband, William Hurst; son, John (Tammi) Hurst; brother, Charles "Junior" Sager; sister, Barbara (Dale) Manuel; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
