Charles L. Pierce

Charles L. Pierce, 77, of Avon, passed away surrounded by loving family members. He was born on February 14, 1945 in Tampa, FL to the late Charles C. and Bertha Pierce. Charles was in the United States Navy for 19 1/2 years. He then worked at K-Mart as a stock clerk for several years. Charles belonged to the Graceway Fellowship Church. He also taught an adult Sunday school group at Ridge Wood Baptist Church in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was known to be a great singer and writer. Charles enjoyed telling jokes and was just a fun person to be around. He was preceded in death by a brother, sister and grandson. A Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date. Survivors include his loving wife, Glenda Pierce; sons, Charles M. (Christina) and Curtis (Laura Giffin) Pierce; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
