Charles Richard Sibley

Charles Richard Sibley, 82, of Plainfield, passed away on November 25, 2024. He was born on January 13, 1942 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Charles Robert Sibley and Dorothy June (Dieckman) Sibley. Charles graduated from Wiley High school in Terre Haute, later attending Indiana State University also in Terre Haute and Indiana University in Bloomington. Charles also honorably served his country in the United States National Guard. He married Jo Etta Garvin in 1965 and remained happily married until the time of his passing. Charles worked in railroad supervision for 37 years with New York Central, Penn Central and Conrail. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, riding motorcycles and loved his dog, Molly. There will be no calling or services. Survivors include his loving wife, Jo Sibley; daughter, Meredith Anne Sibley; grandchild, Jordan Genea Sibley; sister, Nancy Elliott; nieces and nephews of Houston, Texas, Elizabeth Murski, Jennifer Barrett, Rob Elliott and Paul Elliott.
