Charlotte A. Volkel

Charlotte Ann Volkel, age 91, passed away on on November 17, 2025. She was born on October 28, 1934 in Danville, Illinois to the late Theodore Crawford and Helene (Taylor) Crawford. She was a teacher for Lakeview Christian Center for many years. Charlotte loved reading her bible, singing, stamping, making cards for friends and family but above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her three brothers, Theodore Crawford II, Charles Dill and Gene Dill. Funeral services will be held at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 12:00 noon, where family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow to Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville, Illinois. Survivors include her sons, Eric (Melinda) Volkel-Barno and Bruce (Lori) Volkel; sister, Karen Kamman; grandchildren, Megan, Bekah, Andrew, McKenna; great grandchildren, Jackson, Jace, Gwendolyn and Willow.
