Christina E. Harman

Christina Ellen Harman, age 98, of Plainfield, departed from this life on February 22, 2026 after a long illness with dementia. She was born in Unionville, Indiana on January 26, 1928 to the late John and Elsie (June) Hartsock. She had several nicknames growing up, such as Chris, Christy, Tina and Teeny. Christina was married to Charles K. Harman on May 3, 1952. After 13 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on August 16, 1965. After his death, Tina raised her 3 children with the help of her extended family. She also worked as a nurse in both a nursing home and in a private nurse setting, where she took care of both her parents and many friends. Tina enjoyed her flower garden, reading, working cross word puzzles and visiting with friends and family...especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Plainfield Church of Christ. Tina is also preceded in death by a sister, Enid Rebecca Hartsock; sisters in-law, Helen Hartsock and Betty Hartsock; brother in-law, Donald Bayliff. Funeral services will be held at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home on Thursday, February 26, 2026 beginning at 1:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow to Round Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. Survivors include her son, Alan Harman; daughters, Debbie (David) Graham and Nancy Harman; brothers, John and Richard Hartsock; sister, Mabel Bayliff; 4 grandchildren, Karen (Todd) Moore, Rebecca (Justin) Burd, Julie (Aaron) Hardin and Terri Graham; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
