Dale Armour

Dale C. Armour, 91, of Clayton, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025.  He was born in Arcola, IL on May 26, 1934 to the late George and Ina Armour.  Dale was a graduate of Franklin College.  He was a United States Army veteran.  Dale worked for the Indiana State Board of Health as a microbiologist for 40 years.  He also was the co-owner of Amour's Greenhouse for 30 years.  Dale attended the Plainfield Church of Christ, Avon Church of Christ and Belleville Church of Christ over the years.  He enjoyed growing plants, being outdoors and was a volunteer firefighter for 40 years.  Dale loved spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Cooper; brother, Dwayne Armour.  Funeral services will be Friday, September 12, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Center Valley Cemetery.  Survivors include his loving wife, Helen Armour; son, Steven (Jessica) Armour; sister, Diane (Don) Hall; 6 grandchildren: 5 great grandchildren.
