Dan Owen Sr.

Dan Owen Sr., 81, of Plainfield, passed away on February 8, 2022.  He was born on August 13, 1940 in McConnell, IL to the late Everette and Ethel Owen.  Dan held several jobs over the years starting as a truck driver for Tasty Bread in his younger years.  He spent the majority of his career as a sales representative for SK Hand Tools.  Dan finish his career off working as a correctional officer for the Plainfield Correctional Facility.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time.  Dan loved spending time with his family and his German shepherd.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Miller; brother, David Owen; sister, Anita Wilder.  Visitation will be Friday, February 11, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include his loving wife, Sandra Owen; children, Tracey (Brent) Thornburgh and Dan Owen Jr.; brother, Don Owen; sister, Carol Clark; grandchildren, 8; great grandchildren, 10.
