David Meeks

David Meeks, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on February 24, 2026. He was born on January 27, 1947 in Greencastle to the late Harvey and Patricia Meeks. David was a 1965 graduate of Plainfield High School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy in 1970 from Purdue University. David was a pharmacist at Eli Lilly & Co. for 35 years. He was a member of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653, the Central Indiana Association of Pharmacist, John Purdue Club, Plainfield Alumni Association and the past President of the Ben Davis Cadet Football League. David received the Central Indiana Association Pharmacist of the Year award in 2008. He enjoyed collecting stamps and pharmaceutical memorabilia. David loved spending time with his family and traveling the United States with Tina. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 12:00 (noon) until the time of services at 1:00 PM. Inurnment at Maple Hill Cemetery will follow. Survivors include his loving wife, Katrina "Tina" Meeks; sons, David, Randal and Brian (Ashley) Meeks; brother, Mason Meeks; grandchildren, Hannah (Jeremy), Ethan, Adam, Tristan and Corbin Meeks. great grandchild, Petra Carrigg.
