Delores Fern (Trisler) Williams passed away October 9, 2022 at the age of 91. She was surrounded by her loving family in Plainfield Indiana.
Delores, more commonly known as Dee, was born August 12, 1931 to Levi Earl and Leta Fern Trisler in Bloomington, Indiana. She graduated from Bloomington High School in 1950. After graduation she married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Glenn Williams l. Together, they started their new life in Plainfield, Indiana. With Bob’s brothers and their spouses, they started Williams’ Brothers TV and Appliances. The family business was a big part of the Hendrick’s County community from the 1950’s through the early 2000’s. Delores was very active in the community. Dee was a member of “The Daughter’s of the American Revolution” which fed her immense interest in genealogy. She belong to Eastern Star reinforcing her desire to know more about the great women of the Bible. For decades, Dee and her sister Janet, serviced others by setting up numerous receptions for family and friends. Dee was always active in her church. She grew up at McDole Baptist Church in Bloomington, Indiana. Later she was an active member of First Baptist Church in Plainfield, Indiana. She was a past Deaconess, a Choir Director, a Youth Director and she played hand bells at the church. She was part of the Hendrick’s County Choir. Dee played the piano by ear and was in a singing group with her sisters, Janet Boyce and Louise Wenrich. Dee along with her husband were world travelers. They also traveled extensively throughout the United States. She had a wonderful life. She would want you to know that life is so meaningless but for Jesus. For those that knew Delores… that’s how she lived. She was kind, patient, and had a heart for Jesus. She ministered throughout her life through song and a gentleness that drew others to her for counsel and her unconditional love. To know Delores is to know God’s love. Delores is survived by her dearest friend and loving sister, Janet Boyce of Bloomington, Indiana, daughter, Deborah K. Gath (Arnie), sons-Robert E. Williams l (Kathy). James M. Williams. Surviving grandson’s include Robert G. Williams ll (Karen), Jeffery A. Williams (Cassie), Michael D. Gath (Amber), Joshua T. Gath. Surviving granddaughters include, A. JoDee Williams, Leta A. Amburgey, Jennifer L. Gerber (Bill), Ember L. Williams-Elias (William), and Michelle A. Likens (Jason), and thirteen surviving great grandchildren. Delores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert G. Williams I, her parents, siblings, Henry Trisler, Pearl Blair and Louise Wenrich, her beloved daughter-in-law, Ann M. (Patton) Williams, and a great grandson, Troy A. Gerber. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Plainfield First Baptist Church at 1012 Stafford Road, Plainfield, Indiana 46168 would honor Dee memory. Earmark your contribution to the Restoration Campaign. Services for Dee will be held at First Baptist Church in Plainfield on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 12:30. Viewing will be prior to the service from 10:30 to 12:30. Graveside service will be held at 3 PM in Bloomington, Indiana, Valhalla Memory Gardens.
