Desper C. Neighbors Jr.

Desper C. Neighbors Jr., 94, of Plainfield, passed away on May 17, 2018.  He was born in Morgantown, KY on November 4, 1923 to the late Desper Sr. and Rosa Neighbors.  Desper was a WWII United States Army veteran and received a purple heart for his services.  He worked for General Motors as a dye spotter for 42 years in Indianapolis.  Desper was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Neighbors and a brother, Geoffrey Neighbors.  Visitation will be Monday, May 21, 2018 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  Graveside services with military honors will be Tuesday, May 22, in Hill Haven Memory Gardens (Morgantown, KY 42261) at 12:00 pm central time.  Survivors include his son, Gary (Cindy) Neighbors; daughter, Edith (John) Newlin; sister, Mary Fishburn; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
