Donald A. Mumford

Donald A. Mumford, 53, of New Baden, IL, passed away December 29, 2017.  He was born September 16, 1964 to the late Terrance and Gayle (Becongia) Mumford in Waukegan, IL.  He graduated from Northwest High School in Indianapolis in 1982.  Upon graduation he entered the US Air Force Academy and graduated in 1986.  He retired as a major from the US Air Force after serving for 20 years.  He continued his career in the Air Force in the civil service sector.  Don is survived by his wife, Yolanda Mumford; two sons, Alexander and Justin Mumford; a daughter, Anissa Mumford; and two sisters, Cindy L. (Robert) Kennington and Deanna M. Patrick.  Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm.  Contributions may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America (hdsa.org) or the education fund of his children in care of the funeral home.
