Edith Creasy, 96, of Danville, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on October 7, 2025. She was born on December 28, 1928 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Arlus and Lora Dause. Edith was a homemaker, cake decorator and was the Co-Owner of Glendel Wilson Siding Company with her first husband, Glendel Wilson and was married to him for 50 years. She had the best parents and helped her Dad feed cattle, milked the cattle, worked in the tobacco fields, helped clear new grounds and worked in the garden. Edith was a carpenter, a siding applicator, a roofer and helped rebuild cars. She bought old houses and would fix them up and sell them. Edith worked with 4 H children and was an assistant to the Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed crafts, painting, sewing, dancing, singing, playing instruments and camping. Edith was married to her second husband, a wonderful person, Kenneth Creasy these past 25 years. She belonged to the Graceway Fellowship Church. Edith was preceded in death by her first husband, Glendel Wilson; second husband, Kenneth Creasy; sisters, Edis Scales, Jackie Butcher, Tressie Larsen and Mary McElroy. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 12:00 pm (noon) in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her children, Rickie (Donna) Wilson; daughter, Lawana (Cletis) Summers; brother, James Dause; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
