Edith Ida Welsh

Edith Ida (Falstead) Welsh, 94, of Plainfield, IN, passed away February 28, 2018. She was born May 29, 1923 in Rice Lake, WI. She retired after 30 years as an elementary school teacher for the Dayton Ohio School District. She was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church. Her favorite hobby was sewing, especially quilting. Edith is survived by a nephew, Steve R. (Karen) Welsh and a niece, Kathy Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene V. Welsh. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Planfield, with calling one hour prior to services. A private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH.
