Emerson Bradley Hofmann

December 11, 2021 — December 11, 2021

Emerson Bradley Hofmann was born at Riley Hospital for Children on December, 11th at 10:21 a.m. to loving parents Brad and Rocio.  Born at 37 weeks and two days, he weighed 7 pounds, and was 20 inches long with a full head of beautiful hair.  Emerson’s family was blessed with a little over an hour and a half with him before he passed away peacefully in his fathers arms at 11:57 a.m. During his brief time here on earth he was surrounded by family who were able to hold him, kiss him, and tell him how much he is loved.  His family is grateful for the incredible kindness, comfort and compassion the staff at Riley provided in caring for Emerson and his Mother.  Although his time was short, his impact was anything but. The love surrounding his life will continue to influence a great many people for time to come.  Prior to his birth, Emerson enjoyed listening to his Mommy sing to him, play countless songs for him and going to his Daddy’s soccer games.  Outside of his Daddy’s home cooked meals, his favorite foods included taffy apples, cereal, Hibachi, orange and pineapple drinks.  He had joyful experiences with his Mommy and Daddy including his first concert, a hike through Turkey Run, a Christmas light show, trips to Nashville, Arizona, Put-in-Bay and Thanksgiving with his family.  Emerson is survived by his parents Brad and Rocio, maternal grandparents Maria Xochitl and Esteban, fraternal grandparents John and Cathy, countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and his furry sister Penny.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, December, 18th at Hampton Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield, IN.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored to have you support the Riley Children's Foundation in Emerson’s name.
