Forester Hatfield

Forester C. Hatfield, 76, of Plainfield, passed away on October 29, 2020.  He was born on August 2, 1944 in Richmond, VA to the late Andrew and Louise Hatfield.  Forester was a job setter for General Motors Corporation for 44 years and during the same period for Kroger in Mooresville for 17 years.  Forester enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, deer hunting and coaching baseball for the Optimist League and Babe Ruth League.  He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.  Forester belonged to the UAW Needy Family Christmas Organization.  He was preceded in death by brothers, James Andrew and Larry Hatfield; sister, Yvonne Colter.  Visitation will be Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 10:30 to 12:30 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be private.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn Sue Hatfield of 56 years; son, Brian (Katherine) Hatfield; daughters, Becki (David) Kurtz, Lynna (Michael) Gill and Julie (Mark) Planck; brother, William Hatfield; sisters, Diane Torr, Regina Tedrow and Sherry Gaines; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Christopher, Amelia, Noah, Samantha and Trey; great grandson, Jackson.
