Freeda Barron

Freeda Barron, 92, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026.  She was born in Nancy, KY on February 3, 1934.  Freeda had various jobs over the years and retired from Walmart as a sales representative.  She enjoyed sewing and cake decorating in her free time.  Freeda loved spending time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Barron; daughter, Joanne Holt; brother, Denver Burton; sister, Bernice Moller.  Freeda belonged to the Southside Baptist Church in Alabama.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, September, 24, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 12:00 pm until the time of services at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery.  Survivors include her children, Marilyn (Rodney) Allen, Michael (Lisa) Barron, Diana (Kenny Israel) Foxworthy and Gary (Gemma) Barron; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
