Geneva Sullivan-Poindexter-Underwood

Geneva Sullivan-Poindexter-Underwood, 76, of Plainfield, passed away October 20,2021.  She was born November 19, 1944 to the late Cassius C. and Letha B. (Collins) Sullivan in Columbia, KY.  She was a member of Plainfield Christian Church,  the Plainfield Order of the Eastern Star #414, American Legion in Avon, and the Plainfield Eagles.  She worked 9 years as a clerk/typist at Wabash Life Insurance Co., and later she worked 27 years for Herff-Jones.  She enjoyed roller skating ("until I was too old"), bowling, softball and other sports.  Geneva is survived by a son, Shawn E. (Virginia) Poindexter; and two grandsons, Bryce G. and Brett Z. Poindexter.  She was a dedicated mom and grandma.  Besides her parents she was the last surviving member of her 10 brothers and sisters.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 27 also in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield
