Gerald "Jerry" Winsted

Gerald "Jerry" Winsted, 81, of Plainfield, passed away on July 14, 2026.  He was born on December 2, 1944 in Indianapolis to the late Charles "Toby" and Ruth "Vicky" Winsted.  Jerry was a United States Air Force veteran.  He was a buyer for ECS Refining in Santa Clara, CA retiring after 28 years.  Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid professional sports fan.  He loved playing Gin Rummy in his free time.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include his sister, Sharon (Ed) Hollenbaugh; cousin, Sue Little; nephews, Mark (Angie) and Brian (Jody) Hollenbaugh; great nephews, Zachary and Josh; great nieces, Brook and Katheryne.
