Gilbert A. Barry

Gilbert A. Barry, 89, of Clayton, passed away on February 20, 2018.  He was born on November 13, 1928 in Greencastle, IN to the late George and Tillie (Harrer) Barry.  Gilbert graduated from Amo High School and then Canterbury College in Danville, IN.  He enjoyed playing basketball in his younger years at Amo High School and Canterbury College.  Gilbert was a dedicated lifelong farmer in Clayton, IN.  Gilbert was on the Mill Creek Community School Board for 10 years.  He was a member of the Amo United Methodist Church.  Gilbert was happily married for 67 years.  Funeral services will be 12:00 pm (noon) Friday, February 23, 2018 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.  Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery.  Survivors include his wife, Sue Barry; son, John Barry; daughter, Sue Anne (Tom) Stein; grandchildren, Brad Ferguson and Joshua Barry.
