Glenn E. Newby Sr.

Glenn E. Newby Sr., 93, of Plainfield, passed away December 29, 2017.  He was born April 10, 1924 to the late Lee and Edith (Weiss) Newby in Indianapolis, IN.  He worked 45 years for Farm Bureau Co-op as a service technician retiring in 1983.  He was a member of Center Community Church, Plainfield.  Glenn is survived by 4 grandchildren, John (Danette) and Jason (Tina) Newby, and Kimberly and Karl Ginn; 7 great grandchildren; and a brother, Jim Newby.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn M. Newby; a son, Glenn E. Newby Jr., and a daughter, Linda Jean Ginn.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Center Community Church, 5938 S. County Road 700 E., where friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 am until service time at the church.  Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Plainfield.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
