Harlan W. Gipson

Harlan W. Gipson, 81, of Plainfield, passed away May 27, 2018. He was born July 14, 1936 to the late Wilson and Evelyn (Basham) Gipson in Danville, IN. He was a US Air Force veteran. He worked as a pipe fitter for Olin Brass for 20 years retiring in 2009. Harlan is survived by a son, Tony L. Gipson; a daughter, Debbie L. Marlow; a brother Bailey Gipson; a sister, Betty Ohern; 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol S. (Mitchell) Gipson and a son, Jerry Gipson. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Friday, June 1, 2018 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday from 3:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
