Hazel D. Bailey

Hazel D. Bailey, 87, of Plainfield, passed away March 2, 2018. She was born August 26, 1930 to the late Arthur and Millie (Boston) Martin in Edmonton, KY. She worked as an office manager for Bailey Construction Inc from 1965 to 1981. She was a member of the Hope United Prebyterian Church, Plainfield, the Plainfield Order of Eastern Star #414, and the Plainfield Eagles #3207. Hazel is survived by her son, Ronald M. Bailey; and two grandchildren, Hether Shipley and Derrick (Mikaela) Shipley. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe H. Bailey. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 5, 2018 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday from 5:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm. A private burial will be held on Tuesday at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Memorial contributions may be made to The Gathering Together, 147 N. Center St., Plainfield, IN 46168.
