Helen Kelleher, age 79, of Avon, peacefully departed this life surrounded by loving family members on March 19, 2026. She was born in New York City, New York to Alfred Novak and Loretta (Kent) Novak on July 5, 1946. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and grandma. Helen worked as an office administrator for Blue Cross/ Blue Shield for several years. She was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield and did volunteer work within the Catholic church in New Jersey and North Carolina. She coordinated Eucharist Adoration at St. John Neumann Church in North Carolina and volunteered, with other parishioners, in preparing and serving meals at the Homeless Shelter. Later she monitored troubled youth for Alexander's Youth Network. She loved horses, watching and feeding hummingbirds and spending quality time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Novak and Loretta Novak; sister, Ann Solinck. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at St. Susanna Catholic Church beginning at 11:00 a.m., where family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Edward Kelleher; sons, Michael (Abby) Kelleher, Sean (Jennifer) Kelleher, Christopher (Renee) Kelleher; brother, Joseph (Julie) Novak; 4 grandchildren, Donovan Kelleher, Katelyn Kelleher, Declan Kelleher and Lukas Kelleher.
