Henry "Hank" Freitag Jr, 86, of Avon, passed away on December 20, 2023. He was born on September 30, 1937 in Sheboygan, WI to the late Henry Sr. and Ella Freitag.  Hank was a United States Air Force veteran.  He retired from the U.S. Postal Service out of Indianapolis in 1992 after 36 years of services.  Hank enjoyed bass fishing and playing pool in his free time.  He and his sons were unbeatable playing darts during the 80's.  Hank was a Coca-Cola collector as well.  He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren's and great grandchildren's sporting events.  Hank was preceded in death by the first and last love of his life, Elaine Freitag; a son, Eddie Freitag; daughter, Bella Freitag; brother, Donald Freitag; sister, Mavis Stauber.  Survivors include his son, Michael Freitag; daughter, Debra (Rusty) Goodpaster; daughter in law, Tracy Faulk-Freitag; grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Goodpaster, Brittany (Matt) Schultz and Tony (Nikki) Goodpaster, David (Christian) Loy and Tara Mitchell; great grandchildren, Braden, Braylee, Avery, Dane, Harper, Caleb, Hudson, Ellie, Kyla, Grayson, Evelyn, Kaden and all the extended family in Wisconsin.  Funeral services will be Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Please join us in fellowship following the services at the Brew Link Brewpub, 4710 E. US 40, Plainfield, IN 46168.
