Irene Hornaday

Irene Hornaday, 92, of Plainfield, passed away on July 23, 2018.  She was born on March 28, 1926 in Indianapolis.  Irene worked for the Indianapolis Stockyards and as a bank teller for several years.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Plainfield.  Irene enjoyed traveling, playing cards and loved her dog named Cap which was short for Captain.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertha Finchum; husband, William Hornaday and several brothers and sisters.  Funeral services and burial will be private.  Survivors include her sons, Michael (Zundra) and Jim (Rita) Hornaday; brother, Carl Finchum; sister, Jo Ann Schroeder; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
