James A. LoRusso, 85, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on April 15, 2026.  He was born on June 13, 1940 in St. Louis, MO to the late Steve and Bernice LoRusso.  Jim retired from the Air Force after 20 years, which included a tour in Vietnam.  After he retired from the Air Force he went to work for the National Security Agency in Ft. Meade, MD.  Jim was stationed at South Ruslip Air Force Base in England where he met his loving Irish wife, Sara of 61 years.  He enjoyed fishing, watching baseball and the Indianapolis Colts.  Jim was know for feeding the neighborhood dogs as well.  He loved spending time with his family.  Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, of 61 years, Sara LoRusso.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include his daughters, Karen Kieselhorst and Paula LoRusso; brother, Stephen LoRusso; grandchildren, Robbie (Randi) and Jimmie (Melanie) Minnick; great grandchildren, Caiden, Jase and Mason Minnick; nephews, Michael and Jon; many aunts, uncles and cousins in St. Louis.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the St. Susanna Catholic Church.
