Jim Hale

James "Jim" Hale, 91, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on February 17, 2026. He was born on July 11, 1934 in Stinesville, IN to the late Virgil and Lovisa Hale. Jim was a member of the National Guard. He belonged to the Plainfield Christian Church, Indianapolis Scottish Rite, Indianapolis Murat Shrine Center and was a past Master of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting and wood working in his free time. He was an avid sports fan. Jim loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Hale, Barbara Clark and Kenneth Hale. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his loving wife, Paula Hale; son, Bret (Denise) Hale; daughter, Dee (JD) Harris; grandchildren, Caitlin (Ethan) Flater and Cal (Hannah) Harris; great grandchildren, Lucy and Penelope Harris.
