John D. Cole

John D. Cole, 81, of Avon, passed away June 13, 2019. He was born August 2 1937 to the late Chester and Frankie (Grider) Cole in Albany, KY. He was an inspector for GM Detroit Diesel plant (Allison Division) retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653 and the Plainfield Eagles Lodge #3207. John is survived by his wife Dwan (Crockett) Cole; two sons, John R. (Donna) and Joel R. (Jackie) Cole; a brother, C.L. Cole; 5 grandchildren, Mellissa (Trent) Lawson, John "Robbie" (Samantha) Cole, Jerel (Heather) Cole, Jason Cole, and Jacob (Myranda) Cole; and 5 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2019 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 1:00 pm on Saturday until service time at 4:00 pm.
