John J. Stopczynski

John J. Stopczynski, 66, of Plainfield, passed away on July 27, 2022 surrounded by loving family members.  He was born on May 15, 1956 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Joseph and Dorothy Stopczynski.  John was a driver for the Black Horse Carriers Company for 25 plus years.  He enjoyed vacationing in Mexico and Las Vegas.  John loved spending time with his family as often as he could.  He was a member of the St. Susanna Catholic Church.  A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the St. Susanna Catholic Church (1210 E. Main Street, Plainfield, IN 46168) where friends may visit from 12:30 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm.  Survivors include his loving wife, Cathy Stopczynski; sons, Josh (Andrea) and Jeremy (Ginette) Day; daughter, Heather (Bryan) Vavruska; brother, Bill Stopczynski; sisters, Mary Watkins and Christine Makielski; grandchildren, Hayden and Olivia Day.
